Job Description

Staff Accountant (Entry-Level Accountant)

$65k to $75k annually

Key Responsibilities

  • Process accounts payable transactions including invoices, vendor payments, corporate card activity, and weekly check runs
  • Code invoices to job cost and equipment accounts; maintain vendor records and manage lien waivers
  • Support accounts receivable by entering billings, applying customer payments, and assisting with reporting and equipment billing processes
  • Assist with account reconciliations, prepaid schedules, and supporting documentation
  • Provide support for payroll processing, reporting, and labor/equipment updates
  • Maintain fixed asset records, depreciation schedules, and equipment tracking
  • Contribute to month-end close processes, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting support
  • Assist with ERP data cleanup and organization initiatives
  • Maintain accounting documentation and support audit requests as needed
  • Partner with senior accounting team members on ad hoc projects and additional responsibilities

Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • Internship experience and/or 1-3 years of accounting experience

Preferred:

  • Exposure to project accounting, job costing, or construction industry accounting
  • Experience working in a dynamic or evolving environment
  • Strong initiative, intellectual curiosity, and willingness to learn
